Care Assurance System
for the Aging and Homebound (better known as CASA) helps
the elderly and disabled preserve their independence and
continue living in their own home.
CASA services include
wheelchair ramps, transportation to medical
appointments, installation of grab bars and other
adaptive equipment, winterization, minor home repairs,
and telephone reassurance.
These services are
performed by volunteers, under the coordination of
professional staff. All CASA services are offered at no
cost to clients, although donations are welcomed.
CASA serves the aging
(age 60 or older) and the homebound (defined as a person
who has a condition that restricts his/her ability to
leave the home; it generally refers to a person who is
bedridden or wheelchair-bound).
CASA of Limestone
County is a non-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status
and is supported by the United Way and the Combined
Federal Campaign (CFC). Donations and fund-raising
events provide crucial additional revenue. |
